Backstory: The new high school student named Iori E is a mystery. No one knows who he is, or what he's doing here. In fact, Iori E doesn't even know himself. But he doesn't care... he just wants to have some peace and quiet, and live the life of a normal boy. (A normal boy who just entered the most violent battle marathon ever to be authorized by a high school, but a normal boy nonetheless.)

Special Moves:

Special Move #1
Move name: Auto-Counter
What it does: Iori E bends over, puts his hands on his head, and shuts his eyes, shuddering as if he's expecting someone to hit him. If an opponent hits Iori E with a physical attack during this time, he will grab the opponent and throw him/her straight up into the air. If an opponent hits Iori E with a projectile during this time, he will throw a small fireball in the direction where the projectile came from, pitching it like a baseball. If Iori E doesn't get hit, he'll lift his hands from his head a little bit, open his eyes, and look around.
Damage: *** (for follow-up #1), * (for follow-up #2)
Speed: ****
Range: * (for follow-up #1), *** (for follow-up #2)
Notes/Strategy: During the duration of the move (which lasts about 1 second), Iori E will counter any physical attack or projectile, and take no damage from the hit. However, Iori E is still vulnerable to throws and grabs. Also, if Iori E does not get hit during the duration of this move, he will then suffer recovery time (which also lasts about 1 second), and any attack or combo he receives during this recovery will deal double damage to him.
The follow-up to this move after a physical attack has Iori E throwing his opponent straight up into the air. Since Iori E recovers instantly, he can either keep running (since the opponent is delayed while flying in the air until he/she crashes onto the ground), or he can attack the opponent in the air. However, if Iori E attacks the opponent in the air, the opponent will not crash to the ground, and therefore will not receive any damage from the crash. Also, another opponent can attack the airborne opponent, not just Iori E.
The follow-up to this move after a projectile has Iori E hurling a fireball in the direction where the projectile came from. The fireball travels VERY quickly, and will knock an opponent down. (Keep in mind that any opponent can get hit with this fireball, even if he/she was not the thrower of the original projectile.) Iori E also recovers instantly from this follow-up.
Add to the fact that the move itself has a start-up time of only 2 frames, and one can see how this move earned 4 stars for speed.

Special Move #2
Move Name: Two-Hand Quicken
What it does: Iori E performs a barrage of punches, his fists going so fast they're little more than a blur (think Krizalid's DM from KOF '99, or Lin's SDM from KOF 2001). Then he finishes it with a straight extended fist.
Damage: **
Speed: ****
Range: **
Notes/Strategy: This move does 10 hits, including the last hit which knocks the opponent away. This move comes out quickly and recovers quickly. Nice as a combo finisher, or as a main attack because of its speed and priority, but not effective as anti-air. Also, keep in mind that Iori E stands still while performing this move, which is not good in a race, but it is so quick that it probably won't make that much of a difference.

--
Character Strategy: Iori E is all about getting to the Finish Line first. Great speed and jump stats serve him well in the race, outrunning many other students and taking advantage of shortcuts that some may not have access to. However, he suffers greatly from a severe lack of stamina. Iori E must constantly watch his stamina at all times.
If Iori E gets caught in a brawl, his defense will protect him from any great harm. Still, he should avoid fighting most of the time, since his attack and stamina ratings are the lowest in the game. If he must use an attack, you can't beat Two-Hand Quicken. The speed, priority, and range of this move make others think twice before picking on Iori E. If an opponent gets predictable or looks like he/she will use a jump attack, use Auto-Counter. But don't get predictable yourself with this move, since you use it at your own peril. And, as always, WATCH YOUR STAMINA!
